COMPANY POLICY FOR PRICE QUOTATIONS
PRICE ENQUIRY
Prefabworld Bali International © is bombarded with price inquiries for its Prefab Houses. Upon receipt of any price request based on the models shown on our website, we will email our standard price list. However, we also regularly receive price inquiries that are not based on our standard models and which bear all the marks of a "tender" or a "competitive bid procedure." You may guess that the preparation of these quotations is very time-consuming. Needless to say that these generally large quotations may cost us 2 to 3 weeks or longer to prepare with a slim chance of winning the bid (the more contenders, the lower the chance of becoming the successful bidder). In conclusion, we will only accept a request for a quotation that is not based on our models but based on a tender or competitive bid procedure, provided a firm commitment for an order is in place.
Requests for quotation other than those mentioned above which will not be considered are listed below (paragraphs 1 through 4).
Enquiries are not always clear and straightforward as to what the client exactly is looking for. The enquiries also often contain open-ended questions, to which the client expects us to provide answers. This is what we cannot and will not do.
ENQUIRY OPTIONS
1. PRICE ENQUIRY BASED ON A CLIENT'S DESIGN
Quotations for custom-made units, normally based on a client's design, an architect's or engineer's design which does not reflect our prefab system or contain insufficient details, or a project based on a Programme of Requirements are subject to the following:
Designs not made by us need to be re-generated to our prefab system first before we are able to prepare a quotation. The time spent on undertaking these services needs to be reimbursed.
Some knock-off companies are prepared to submit a quotation based on your drawings without the need for a re-generation of your design. Needless to say that such quotations are either too high or too low. Too high will hurt your budget and too low always ends up in a feud between the client and the supplier. The supplier demands more money after he realizes that his quotation is wrong. The client will stick to the quotation with the result that the supplier will build with inferior materials to make up for his loss. In some cases he will even stop manufacturing until the client has paid the deficit. That's why we will not prepare a quotation based on drawings not made by us unless we are given the order to re-generate the drawings to match and fit our prefab system. This will require a certain refundable fee. Refer to paragraph 6.
2. QUOTATIONS BASED ON PHOTOS, A SKETCH WITHOUT SUFFICIENT DETAILS OR A DESCRIPTION ONLY.
We will not quote from attached pictures and/or drawings of buildings that are not our property and/or are not shown on our website. We will also not prepare quotations based on a description. If you want to submit a sketch, make sure that it shows sufficient details.
3. QUOTATIONS REQUIRING A MATERIAL TAKE-OFF
In some cases, we receive an inquiry for a design that requires a material take-off, which needs to be done by us. We will NOT do this. We need a fully detailed Bill of Quantities, which the client's architect can provide. From this list of materials, we will be able to prepare a proper quotation.
4. QUOTATIONS, PRICE LISTS AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION REQUESTED VIA WHATSAPP
Price lists and/or technical information and/or quotation requests sent via WhatsApp will not be addressed and we will not respond to these messages. Refer to paragraph 5 below.
5. HOW TO CONTACT US FOR A QUOTATION REQUEST OR TECHNICAL INFORMATION
You need to use the contact form if you would like to request a price list, need technical information or wish to receive a quotation.
6. REFUND OF QUOTATION PREPARATION FEES
If our company is awarded the project we will forthwith refund the full amount of the total costs made for the preparation of the quotation, mentioned in paragraph 1.
