FOLDING DOORS

All of our windows are made from properly kiln dried genuine tropical Camphor hardwood. On special request we may use different materials such as Bangkirai, Merbau, Teak, Mahogany or Meranti.

Standard sxzes for our doors is: 2028 x 750 to 850 mm ((7' 5/3/4" x (2' - 5 1/2" to 2' - 9 7/16") (H x W ). Thickness of rails and stiles is 45 mm (1 - 3/4"). Thickness of floating panel = 18 mm (11/16")

Sizes can be adjusted to your own requirements.

There are 4 specific types of folding systems, viz: bi-fold, end fold, center fold and multifold. Most used are the bi-fold and end fold systems:

♠ Bi-fold:
A set of 2 doors with central folding hinges. A run can comprise a number of bi-fold doors (a total of 4, 6, 8 doors, etc). Door leafs can fold to either one side of the door opening
♠ End fold:
A number of folding doors (normally > 2), folding together and hinged to one end of the door opening.
♠ Center fold: A number of folding doors (normally > 2), folding together and hinged in the center of the door opening.
♠ Multi fold:
Normally a set of more than 2 doors. Door leafs can be either end folding or center folding
